The My Controls link at the top of the page allows you to send private messages, edit your profile, and change your settings. Here's a brief description of the options:
  • Click Compose New Message to send a private message to another member. You will need to know the user's forum name.
  • Click Your Albums to create and manage your photo album(s) in our Photo Gallery.
  • Click Edit Profile Information to change your contact info.
  • Click Edit Signature to change how you sign your posts. (See mine under this post.)
  • Click Edit Avatar Settings to change the small image that appears next to each of your posts. So you know where this appears, mine is .
  • Click Change Personal Photo to add a photo to your profile. Note the second line on the screen which says "All photos must be no larger than ______." The size of your photo in pixels doesn't matter, but it cannot exceed the maximum file size. All photos will be automatically resized to not exceed 150x150 pixels.
  • Click Change Display Name to change the user name other members see beside each of your posts. For example, mine is TMSBrad. Changing your Display Name has no affect on how you log on to the site.
  • Click Purchase Paid Subscriptions to join Magic City Mustangs.
  • Click Email Settings to change your email privacy and notification settings.
  • Click Board Settings to change your time zone and other board display settings.
  • Click Change Email Address or Change Password to change those options.

I tried to change the avatar for Raysangel (I was logged on as her), and it is changed in the "My Controls" page, but still shows the original avatar on all the posts. How come? sad.gif
